The Collapse of the Maya

The Mayans were a strong put together civilization staring around 250 A.D. and ended 900 A.D. There are many different ways and theories that the civilization collapsed. My beliefs about this collapse are mostly because of the farming was harder to grow crops. This is called the fallow period. Many died from starvation from less and less crops being grown. Skulls have been found right outside of Copan Valley which probably means that people were dying from starvation because it is so hard to grow crops so some people flourished away from that area to grow more crops and get a healthier life style. Some couldn't go outside of the Copan Valley because eventually their houses got buried with all of the erosion debris. It was hard for the Mayans to move and problems got too tough to fix like farming and trying to go somewhere else for a better life style which is how the Mayans collapsed.


It started with a great civilization that leaded to bad farming to starvation. Some people got out of the Copan Valley but didn't make it far and eventually people were in a dead civilization.

Peruvian Cultures: Moche, Sican, Chimu, and Inca

I just took a vacation to Peru and learned about the Moche, Sican, Chimu, and Inca cultures. While I was there I went to a museum and saw many of their great art pieces. There were too many wonderful pieces to pick from so I finally decided to pick these ones.

Health Care

I think the government should be providing money for the people who don't have enough money for health care. If they don't have enough money themselves and their children could be in danger. I think its just horrible when I hear about someone who needs surgery but doesn't have enough money to get it. Then they have to go through the pain, if the government payed for some of it they would be better.

Vice Presidential Debate

For the Iraq war, I do not agree with Sarah Palin. She wants to stay in this war. I think we should get out of the war.

Taxes

I think Sarah Palin is wrong about the taxes because I think we shouldn't be decreasing the taxes but we shouldn't raise them. I agree with Obama for the families that aren't making a lot of money a year should not have as high of taxes. The richer families should have high taxes. When we have high taxes it can help pay for so much more. It can help with re-doing roads, buildings, bridges and more.

Economic plan

The way I am going to fix the economy is by preventing companies becoming too big. Because when big companies fail the government doesn't have enough money. There are so many people who lose money when big companies fail so that's why companies can't become too big.
